For the past few years I have been on a graphic design journey. It started off with some awful quality, there are a few t-shirts with my face on them that can prove that. But every year my goal has been to improve on the last iteration. I've gone from plastering screen printed pictures onto tie-die to drawing my own crests and images. This 5th iteration of my yearly shirt designs has been my favorite so far.
One thing I have struggled with before is having full control over the designs. A lot of custom apparel companies offer templates that you can select from. Luckily, I was able to find a great company to make my complete designs come to life. For this years design, I teamed up with Icarus FC, a Philly based design company that specializes in making fully custom soccer jerseys. They don't believe in template designs and instead pair each request up with a graphic designer on their team to help flesh out a final design. Big thanks to AJ who helped me get my ideas onto the final shirt.
J3F Athletic Club will proudly be sporting jerseys this year in track meets, running races, and triathlons throughout 2024. I cant wait to see where this goes next year.
